Awantipora Police along with Civil Administration intensifies Market Checking in Tral
Awantipora 09 Aug 2025 _In order to ensure safe and hygenic sale /availability of edible items in the market, a team headed by SDPO Tral Shri Rakesh Kumar along with SHO Police Station Tral Inspector Ab.Rashid in coordination with food safety department, and Municipal Committee Tral , conducted inspections of various restaurants falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tral.
During the inspection, rotten and unhygienic edible items were found in several establishments including restaurants . The same were destroyed on the spot and fine was imposed.
Strict instructions were also issued to the restaurant owners to maintain proper hygiene and adhere to food safety standards, failing which strict action under relevant provisions shall be initiated.
Awantipora Police assures such inspections would be conducted on a regular basis and warned the traders/ restaurant owners of stern action if they are found indulging in illegal activities.
