J&K Government Orders Transfer and Posting of 53 School Education Department Lecturers
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir, School Education Department, has issued Government Order No. 561-JK(Edu) of 2025 dated 13 August 2025, announcing the transfer and posting of 53 Lecturers across various Higher Secondary Schools and institutions in the Union Territory. The order has been issued in the interest of administration and will take effect immediately.
According to the notification, lecturers from various subjects including Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce, Sociology, Physics, English, Education, Computer Science, Psychology, Hindi, Urdu, History, Political Science, and Islamic Studies have been reassigned to new locations.

The list includes notable transfers such as:
- Mir Javid Iqbal (Botany) from HSS Reohama to HSS Poshwan.
- Mohd. Ashraf Nazir (Zoology) from HSS Khag to HSS Kreeri.
- Syed Inayat Jan (Zoology) from HSS Wapora to GHSS Bijbehara.
- Nadeem Asgar (English) from HSS Bijbehara to HSS Checki Wangund, Qazigund.
- Liyakat Ali (Computer Science) transferred to SCERT, Srinagar.
- Rajeev Kumar (Chemistry) from HSS SSM Pampore to JICBS GP Pouni Mand.
- Mohsina Nabi (English) from HSS Nagn to HSS Gund Hasi Bhat.
The order specifies that the officials mentioned shall be deemed relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect, ensuring a smooth administrative process.
Purpose of the Transfers
The department stated that the transfers are aimed at optimizing the functioning of schools and ensuring the best possible utilization of teaching staff across the UT.
The order was issued under the signatures of R.N. Sharma, IAS, Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, and countersigned by Peer Zahid Anjum, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government.
