GMC Srinagar Reschedules Exams for Medical Officer and Counsellor Posts
Srinagar: The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has announced the revised dates for the OMR-based written examinations for the posts of Medical Officer and Counsellor under the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) at the Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences Kashmir (Psychiatry).
The exams, earlier scheduled for 27th and 29th August 2025, had been postponed due to inclement weather conditions across the valley. As per the latest notification (No. 31-EC of 2025, dated 29-08-2025), the fresh examination dates are as follows:
- Medical Officer – 03 September 2025 (Wednesday)
- Counsellor – 04 September 2025 (Thursday)
Both examinations will be conducted at Government Medical College, Srinagar from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
These posts are being filled on a contractual basis under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MOSJE), Government of India, coordinated by the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), AIIMS New Delhi. The recruitment aims to strengthen services at the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) in GMC Srinagar.
The official notification has been issued by Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, Principal/Dean, GMC Srinagar. All other instructions mentioned in the earlier advertisement notification (No. 17-EC of 2025, dated 22-05-2025) remain unchanged.
