Railway WCR Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 2,865 Apprentice Posts, Check Eligibility & Selection Process

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), West Central Railway (WCR) has released a notification for the recruitment of 2,865 Apprentice posts in various trades. The online application process has started, and eligible candidates can apply through the official website wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.

This recruitment drive is a great opportunity for candidates who have completed their Class 10th and ITI in relevant trades. The selection will be done purely on merit basis, without any written exam or interview.

Railway WCR Recruitment 2025: Vacancy Details

A total of 2,865 vacancies have been announced. The division and category-wise distribution is as follows:

• Total Posts: 2,865
• Category-wise Distribution:
  • UR: 1,150
  • SC: 433
  • ST: 215
  • OBC: 778
  • EWS: 289
  • PwBD: 101
  • Ex-Servicemen: 85

The vacancies are spread across divisions such as Jabalpur, Bhopal, Kota, CRWS BPL, WRS Kota, and HQ Jabalpur.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 20 August 2025):

• Minimum: 15 years
• Maximum: 24 years
• Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and additional for PwBD as per rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidate must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks.
• Must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Selection Process

• The selection will be merit-based only.
• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of Class 10th marks and ITI trade marks.
• In case of a tie, preference will be given to the older candidate.
• After shortlisting, candidates will undergo Document Verification and Medical Examination.
• No written exam or interview will be conducted.

Steps to Apply Online:

1. Visit the official website: wcr.indianrailways.gov.in
2. Go to About Us → Recruitment → Railway Recruitment Cell → Engagement of Act Apprentices.
3. Click on “New Registration” and fill in your details.
4. Upload required documents:
   • 10th Marksheet & Certificate
   • ITI Certificate & Marksheet
   • Passport-size Photo & Signature
   • Category Certificate (if applicable)
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹141
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women: ₹41

Payment can be made online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
