JKBOSE Scholarship Notification 2025: Apply Online for PM-USP CSSS Fresh and Renewal Batches

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially invited online applications for the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) – Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS). Eligible students from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh can now apply for Fresh Batch 2025, 1st Renewal of Batch 2024, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2023, and 3rd Renewal of Batch 2022 through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The last date to submit applications is 31st October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible:

1. Income Limit: The gross parental/family income should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum. (Income certificate is required for fresh applicants only).
2. No Other Scholarship: The applicant should not be availing any other scholarship from any other source.
3. Course Requirement: The student must be pursuing undergraduate courses in any stream from recognized institutions within or outside the Union Territory of J&K/Ladakh.
4. Merit Requirement: Students must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12th) Regular 2025 (Hard Zone & Soft Zone) falling within the Top 20 percentile.

Scholarship Amount

• Undergraduate Courses: ₹12,000/- per annum (for three years, totaling ₹36,000/-).
• Postgraduate Courses: ₹20,000/- per annum.

This financial assistance aims to support meritorious students in continuing higher education without financial stress.

Important Instructions

• The Top 20 percentile list is available on the official JKBOSE website: www.jkbose.nic.in.
• Applications must be submitted online at National Scholarship Portal by 31st October 2025.
• The application will be considered valid only after successful verification by the University/College/Institution where the student is studying.
• Candidates who have forgotten their User ID and Password may reset them by sending an email to directoracad@jkbose.co.in.

Renewal Applications

Apart from fresh applicants, the following students can also apply for renewal:

• 1st Renewal of Batch 2024
• 2nd Renewal of Batch 2023
• 3rd Renewal of Batch 2022

Such candidates are required to apply online through NSP before the last date.

How to Apply

1. Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP): www.scholarships.gov.in
2. Register/Login with valid details.
3. Select PM-USP CSSS Scholarship Scheme.
4. Fill in the required details and upload necessary documents.
5. Submit the application before 31st October 2025.
