Parents allege violation of FFRC orders by Sgr Pvt School
Srinagar: Ahead of the new academic session, several parents Monday alleged that ‘Ingenious School of Education Mallabagh’ Srinagar was violating the FFRC orders and the school management was asking them to pay extra tuition and annual charges.
One of the parents told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), “Ingenious School of Education Mallabagh’ Srinagar asked me that the school is charging Rs 2600 tuition fee for the nursery class. However, the FFRC has recommended to charge only Rs 2140 for the nursery class for the academic year 2025-26.”
The parents further alleged that the FFRC has recommended charging Rs 6805 annual charges. “The school in violation of government orders is asking parents to pay Rs 8,900 as annual charges for the nursery class for the upcoming academic year.”
Besides, the parents further alleged that the school management is asking them to pay advance fee for the full session. “We were even charged Rs 1,000 for taking admission form.”
The school management however denied the allegations and said that the management was charging only the FFRC recommended amount.
“We are charging only that much of the fee that has been ordered by the FFRC,” the school management said.
The management of the school also said, “The parents can enrol their wards in our school and pay only what FFRC has ordered. There is no violation and there will be no violation of the government orders.”—(KNO)
