Eligibility Criteria
1. Assistant Librarian (Pay Level 10: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 / AGP ₹6,000 – ₹9,000)
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever grading system is followed).
- Candidate must also have a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library systems.
- NET/SLET/SET Requirement:
- Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR, or an equivalent accredited body.
- Alternatively, candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- Ph.D. Requirement:
- Candidates registered for Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the UGC regulations of that time.
- Such candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
- Ph.D. degree must be awarded in regular mode.
- Evaluation of Ph.D. thesis must include at least two external examiners.
- Candidate must have published at least two research papers based on Ph.D. work in refereed journals, with at least one accepted and published before Ph.D. viva voce.
- Compliance with UGC regulations must be duly certified by the university awarding the Ph.D.
2. Assistant Registrar (Pay Level 10: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 / AGP ₹5,400 – ₹6,000)
