The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several parts of Srinagar, Pulwama, Pampore, Tral, Anantnag, Budgam, and Baramulla districts. These shutdowns are being carried out to facilitate essential maintenance and repair works on various 33 kV transmission lines to ensure smooth and reliable power supply in the future.

As per the official notification, electricity supply will remain affected in the identified areas on different dates between 18 January and 27 January 2026, generally from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.

Shutdown of 33 kV Khonmoh–Zawoora Line

The shutdown of the 33 kV Khonmoh–Zawoora line will be observed on 25 January 2026.
Due to this, power supply to Balhama, Wuyan, Munpora, parts of Khonmoh, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 AM to 03 PM.

Shutdown of 33 kV Tral First Line (Tapline from Nowda)

A shutdown of the 33 kV Tapline of Tral First Line from Nowda will be carried out on 18 January and 22 January 2026.
The areas that will witness power interruption include Tral, Tral Payeen, Devar, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani, and adjoining localities during the scheduled hours.

Shutdown of 33 kV Chararipora Tapline (Lassipora–Mitrigam Line)

On 19 January 2026, the 33 kV Chararipora Tapline of Lassipora–Mitrigam line will undergo maintenance work.
As a result, power supply will remain suspended in Chararipora, Pakherpora, Kamrazipora, and nearby areas from 10 AM to 03 PM.

Shutdown of 33 kV Sangam-II Line

The 33 kV Sangam-II line will be shut down on 19 January and 22 January 2026.
This shutdown will affect electricity supply to Siamoh, K-Koot, Kaigam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway area, and adjoining localities during the scheduled time.

Shutdown of 33 kV Pampore–Khrew Line

Maintenance work on the 33 kV Pampore–Khrew line is scheduled on 24 January and 27 January 2026.
Residents of Shar, Wahab Sahib, Bathan, and adjoining areas are advised to expect power outages from 10 AM to 03 PM.

Shutdown of 33 kV Pampore–Lethpora Line

The 33 kV Pampore–Lethpora line will remain shut on 19 January and 21 January 2026.
This will affect electricity supply to Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF Lethpora, Ladhoo, Konibal, Chandhara, LIS, and surrounding areas during the shutdown period.

Shutdown of 33 kV Pampore–SIDCO Line

A shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore–SIDCO line will be observed on 18 January 2026.
Power supply to IE Khrew, Wuyan, and Cement Plants will remain affected from 10 AM to 03 PM.

Shutdown of 33 kV Nihalpora–Gulmarg Line

The 33 kV Nihalpora–Gulmarg line will undergo shutdown on 19 January and 24 January 2026.
This will impact power supply in a large number of areas including Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katipora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora, and adjoining areas.

Advisory to Consumers

KPDCL has urged consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the shutdown period. The power utility has clarified that the maintenance works are crucial for strengthening the transmission network and minimizing unscheduled outages in the future.

Consumers are advised to stay updated through official communications and local announcements for any changes in the shutdown schedule.
