University of Kashmir Postpones Exams Till March 7; GMC Srinagar Defers Written Test
Srinagar, March 4 (KSA): The University of Kashmir has postponed all university examinations scheduled to be held up to and including March 7, 2026, according to an official notification issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
The notice states that all university examinations scheduled during this period stand postponed. Fresh dates for the conduct of the postponed examinations will be notified separately, the notification said.
The order, issued by the Assistant Controller of Examinations (Conduct), has been circulated to the concerned authorities for necessary action, including placing the notification on the official university website and informing the media.
Students have been advised to stay updated through official university channels for further announcements regarding the revised examination schedule.
Meanwhile, the Government Medical College Srinagar has also postponed a written test that was scheduled to be held today (March 5).
According to an official notification issued by the college administration, the written test for selection/engagement as Tutor/Clinical Instructor and Public Health Tutor on academic arrangement basis, which was earlier scheduled for March 5, 2026, has been postponed and will now be conducted on March 11, 2026.
Candidates have been advised to download fresh roll number slips ahead of the revised examination date. The authorities further stated that all other terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier notification will remain unchanged.
The developments come as several academic activities across the valley continue to witness schedule adjustments, with authorities urging students and candidates to regularly check official notifications for updates. (KSA)
