Power Shutdown in Several Areas of Kashmir from March 8–12, 2026
The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Kashmir Valley due to maintenance and line works on different 33 KV transmission lines. Residents in multiple localities of Bandipora, Srinagar, and Budgam districts are advised to take note of the scheduled outages.
The shutdowns are necessary to carry out maintenance and technical work on the power infrastructure to ensure better electricity supply in the future.
Power Shutdown on March 8, 2026
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Soibugh–Wadwan line will remain shut down for maintenance.

- 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM

- Dharmuna
- Wadwan
- Rasoo
- Gotpora
- Chatbugh
- Pymus
- Gariend
- Nadigam
- Banggam
- Wahpora
- Adjoining areas
Residents in these areas may experience power disruption during the scheduled hours.
Power Shutdown on March 9, 2026
The shutdown of the 33 KV Potushai–Nadihal Tap line will be observed to facilitate maintenance work.
Timing:
- 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM

- Argam
- Adjoining areas
Power supply in these areas will remain suspended during the maintenance period.
Power Shutdown on March 10 & 12, 2026
Maintenance work will also be carried out on the 33 KV Bemina–Fatehkadal line and 33 KV Bemina–Barbarshah line.
