The weather department predicts generally dry weather across most parts of the Union Territory. Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected, providing a temporary break from the recent unstable weather.

March 15–16

From the evening of March 15, weather conditions are expected to change again. The region will likely experience generally cloudy skies, with light to moderate rain in plains and snowfall in higher altitude areas.

The precipitation activity is expected mainly during the night of March 15 and early morning of March 16, affecting several districts across the Kashmir Valley and parts of Jammu division.

March 17–18

Weather conditions will remain generally cloudy, with a possibility of brief spells of light rain or snowfall in higher reaches at isolated locations, particularly during the night of March 17 and morning of March 18.

Although precipitation during this period is expected to be limited, residents should still prepare for sudden weather changes.

March 19–20

Another weather system is expected to influence the region between March 19 night and March 20 morning, bringing light to moderate rain in plains and snowfall in higher elevations at scattered to many places.

This spell may affect transportation and mountain routes due to snowfall accumulation in high-altitude areas.

March 21–23

The weather department predicts generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir from March 21 to March 23, bringing improved conditions after several days of fluctuating weather.


Thunderstorm and Gusty Wind Advisory

The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory warning of the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds at a few places across Jammu and Kashmir around March 15 evening.
