The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification for all Government and Private affiliated schools functioning in the Jammu Division, including Leh, regarding the submission of Internal Assessment Awards for eligible candidates appearing in the Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) and Higher Secondary Part-II (Class 12th) Annual Private/Bi-Annual Examination 2026.
The Board has directed all Heads of Institutions to submit the internal assessment awards to the concerned Divisional Secrecy/Sub/Branch Offices of JKBOSE within the prescribed timeline.

- Last date for submission of Internal Assessment Awards by Schools: 30 June 2026
- Last date for submission by Sub/Branch Offices to Secrecy Section: 04 July 2026

The concerned Heads of Institutions must ensure timely submission of Internal Assessment Awards for eligible candidates of:
- Class 10th (SSE) Annual Private/Bi-Annual 2026
- Class 12th (HSE-II) Annual Private/Bi-Annual 2026
JKBOSE Guidelines for Submission
JKBOSE has issued the following instructions:
- Internal Assessment Award formats must be downloaded from the official JKBOSE website.
- Awards should be clearly written without any cutting, overwriting, or correction fluid.
- Awards must be submitted in duplicate along with the complete examination roll number and bear the signatures of the concerned subject examiner and Head of Institution.
- Schools must maintain properly signed Internal Assessment records for future reference.
- Institutions must submit the awards within the stipulated deadline. Late submission may attract penalties under JKBOSE regulations.
- Institutions will be held responsible for any discrepancies arising from incorrect or erroneous submission of awards.
Responsibility of Schools
JKBOSE has emphasized that every Head of Institution is responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate Internal Assessment records.
- Verifying marks before submission.
- Ensuring timely submission.
- Avoiding errors that may affect students’ examination records.
Failure to comply with the Board’s instructions may lead to penalties and other action under JKBOSE regulations.
Why This Notification Is Important
Internal Assessment marks form an important component of the examination process. Delay or incorrect submission may result in inconvenience for students and could affect the processing of examination results.
Schools are therefore advised to complete the submission well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.
