Eligibility for Anganwadi Worker

• Age should be 18 to 37 years.
• Candidate should belong to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Residence shall normally be determined through the electoral roll of the concerned ward.
• Minimum educational qualification is 10+2.
• Maximum educational qualification considered is Graduation.

• Selection shall be based purely on merit obtained in the qualifying examination.
• In case of a tie, preference shall be given to the older candidate.

Eligibility for Anganwadi Helper

Applicants for the Anganwadi Helper post must meet the following conditions:

• Must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Only women candidates are eligible.
• Age should be between 18 and 37 years.
• Selection will normally be restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
• Minimum qualification is Matriculation.
• If no matriculate candidate is available, candidates with educational qualification not below 8th standard may be considered.
• Preference will be given to the most deserving eligible married woman.
• If no eligible married candidate is available, unmarried candidates may also be considered.

Additional Preference
