The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Batwara, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has announced an extension of the last date for submitting application forms for the engagement of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in Anganwadi Centres under Poshan Project Batwara.
According to the official public notice, the decision has been taken due to the slow and poor response received against Advertisement Notice No. 86 of 2026 dated 23 June 2026. As a result, eligible candidates will now have additional time to submit their applications.
Last Date Extended by 10 Days
The notification states that the deadline for submitting application forms has been extended by 10 days.
Applicants can now submit their forms from 14 July 2026 to 23 July 2026, giving interested candidates another opportunity to apply for the advertised vacancies under the Poshan Project Batwara.
Reason Behind the Extension
In the public notice, the Child Development Project Officer, Batwara, stated that the extension has been granted because of the slow and poor response to the earlier advertisement issued on 23 June 2026.
The extension is intended to provide more eligible candidates with sufficient time to complete and submit their application forms for the recruitment process.
Official Communication Issued
An official communication dated 14 July 2026 was also sent to the Joint Director, Information Kashmir, requesting publication of the extension notice in three local daily newspapers for wider public awareness.
The communication refers to Advertisement Notice No. 86 of 2026 dated 23 June 2026 and requests that the enclosed notice be published to inform the general public about the revised application deadline.
Publicity Instructions
The public notice includes directions to ensure that information about the extension reaches eligible candidates across the project area.
Copies of the notice have been forwarded to various authorities for information and necessary action. Supervisors have been instructed to publicize the extension notice in their respective wards and jurisdictions. They have also been directed to conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns to identify eligible candidates for the selection of Sanginis (AWWs) and Sahayikas (AWHs).
The notice further instructs officials to display the extension notice at Anganwadi Centres, government offices, and other establishments in their respective areas and to maintain records of the publicity process.

The extension offers another opportunity for eligible women who were unable to submit their application forms before the earlier deadline.
