Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from a recognized Central, State, or Union Territory education board as on the date of registration.
Age Limit
Candidates must be:
- Born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- The upper age limit at the time of enrolment should not exceed 22 years for candidates who clear all selection stages.
Marital Status
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Selected candidates must remain unmarried during the four-year engagement period under the Agnipath Scheme. Marriage during service will lead to dismissal.
Medical Standards
Applicants must satisfy the following standards:
- Minimum Height: 152 cm
- Chest Expansion: Minimum 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Vision: 6/36 correctable to 6/9 in each eye
- Colour Vision: CP-III
- Normal hearing
- Healthy gums and teeth
- Physically and mentally fit for service anywhere in the world
Corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
Job Profile
Selected Agniveervayu Non-Combatants will serve in one of the following streams:
Hospitality Stream
Responsibilities include:
- Cooking and food preparation
- Kitchen management
- Food storage
- Table setting
- Serving food and beverages
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness
Housekeeping Stream
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning rooms, offices and surroundings
- Maintaining gardens
- Washing utensils and clothes
- Handling office equipment
- Ironing, tailoring and shoe polishing
- Other housekeeping-related duties assigned by the Air Force
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Application Screening
- Physical Fitness Test
- Written Examination/Skill Assessment (as applicable)
- Medical Examination
- Final Merit List
