Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag has issued a notification regarding the conduct of the written examination for the posts of Medical Officer, Clinical Psychologist/Counsellor, and Nurse (ATF) advertised under Advertisement Notice No. 09 GMCA of 2026 dated May 21, 2026.

According to the notification, the OMR-based objective written examination will be held on August 17, 2026 (Monday) at the GMC Anantnag Main Campus, Dialgam.

Admit Cards

Candidates can download their admit cards from August 12, 2026 through the official website of GMC Anantnag using their login credentials.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Read all the instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully before appearing for the examination.
  • Reach the examination centre one hour before the scheduled time.
  • Carry the admit card, original photo ID proof, and a recent passport-size photograph.
  • Entry will not be allowed without the required documents.
  • Only candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria should appear in the examination. Permission to appear is purely provisional and subject to document verification.
  • Candidates found to have misrepresented or concealed information may have their candidature cancelled at any stage of the selection process.
  • Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and similar items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the examination.

The notification has been issued by Prof. (Dr.) Junaid S. Wani, Principal, Government Medical College, Anantnag, and is dated August 4, 2026.
