The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification detailing the schedule for submission of online examination forms and renewal registration returns for Higher Secondary Part-II (Class 12th) Annual/Regular Examination 2026 for the October-November session.

The notification applies to candidates in the Kashmir Division as well as the erstwhile District Kargil of the Union Territory of Ladakh. According to the official notification, eligible Class 12 candidates currently enrolled in JKBOSE-affiliated academic institutions are required to submit their examination forms and renewal registration returns through the online mode on the JKBOSE website.

The notification was issued on August 14, 2026, under notification number F (JSE-KD/Reg- Exam-XII/E/2026). The detailed schedule also specifies the normal-fee period, late-fee windows, applicable charges and instructions for affiliated institutions and candidates.

JKBOSE Class 12 Exam Form 2026: Normal Fee Dates

As per the schedule given by the board, the online link for submission of Class 12 examination forms with the normal fee opened on August 17, 2026.

Candidates appearing with five compulsory subjects are required to pay a total fee of Rs. 1,800, which includes the migration certificate fee of Rs. 50.

For candidates opting for five or more subjects, the prescribed fee is Rs. 2,065, including the Rs. 50 migration certificate fee.

The last date for submission of examination forms and renewal registration returns under the normal-fee schedule is September 5, 2026.

Students and affiliated institutions are therefore required to complete the online process within the notified period. The board has specifically stated that the forms and renewal registration returns are to be submitted through the online mode on the JKBOSE website.

Late Fee Schedule for Class 12 Examination Forms

JKBOSE has also prescribed two late-fee windows for candidates who do not complete the submission process during the normal-fee period.

The first late-fee window will open on September 6, 2026, and remain available until September 10, 2026.

For candidates appearing in five subjects, the total fee during the first late-fee period is Rs. 2,650. For candidates with five or more subjects, the total fee is Rs. 2,915.

A second late-fee window has been fixed from September 11 to September 14, 2026.

During this second period, candidates appearing in five subjects will have to pay a total fee of Rs. 3,990, while those with five or more subjects will have to pay Rs. 4,255.

The board has provided these dates and fee structures in the official schedule and has cautioned that examination forms will not be entertained after the final date.

Instructions for Affiliated Academic Institutions

JKBOSE has also issued instructions for institutions participating in the examination-form submission process.

After completing the online service, all institutions are required to generate the checklist through their respective School Login accounts. The checklist must then be submitted to the concerned Sub/Branch office after being duly signed and stamped by the Head of the Institution.

The notification states that this submission is to be completed within ten days positively after completion of the online service.

Only academic institutions affiliated with JKBOSE for the Academic Session 2025-26 are eligible to fill the examination and renewal registration forms.

Students Advised to Check Official Instructions

JKBOSE has stated that detailed instructions and frequently asked questions will be made available on the official website of the board.

Candidates and other stakeholders have been advised to go through the instructions and FAQs before filling out the examination forms. For queries, students and Heads of affiliated academic institutions have been directed to approach the concerned Sub/Branch offices of the Board.

The notification also provides an email address for queries: itsskd.jkBOSE@jk.gov.in.

Fee Exemption for Eligible CWSN Candidates

The board has included a specific provision for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) candidates.

According to the notification, candidates having a benchmark disability of 40 percent or more are exempted from paying the examination and renewal registration fee.

However, eligible candidates are required to take a printout of the examination form submitted online and have it attested by the Head of the concerned academic institution.

The attested form must then be submitted to the concerned Sub/Branch office or offices of JKBOSE along with a copy of the disability certificate issued by the competent authority.

Important Deadline for Class 12 Students

The normal-fee submission period began on August 17 and will close on September 5, 2026. Candidates who miss this period can submit their forms during the first late-fee window from September 6 to September 10, followed by the second late-fee window from September 11 to September 14.

The board has made it clear that no examination form will be entertained after the last date.

Students enrolled in eligible JKBOSE-affiliated institutions are advised to follow the prescribed schedule and complete the required online process within the applicable deadline. Institutions have also been directed to ensure participation in the examination-cum-admission form process and compliance with the notified schedule.
