The University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has announced the examination schedule for candidates who applied for the posts of Accounts Assistant and Subject Matter Specialists (SMS-KVKs) under the university’s recruitment process.
According to a notice issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, SKUAST-K, the OMR-based written examinations for the two posts will be conducted in Srinagar in September 2026.
The university has scheduled the examination for the Accounts Assistant post on September 20, 2026 (Sunday), while the written examination for Subject Matter Specialists (SMS-KVKs) will be held on September 27, 2026 (Sunday).
The examination schedule has been issued for candidates who applied under the relevant university advertisements. The notice provides details regarding the examination dates, centres, timings and availability of admit cards.
SKUAST-K Recruitment Test 2026 Exam Dates
As per the official notification, the OMR-based written examination for the Accounts Assistant post will take place on September 20, 2026, which falls on a Sunday.
The examination for Subject Matter Specialists (SMS-KVKs) has been fixed for September 27, 2026 (Sunday).
Both examinations are scheduled to be conducted in Srinagar. The university has also specified the examination venues and timings for the respective posts.
Accounts Assistant Examination Schedule
Candidates appearing for the Accounts Assistant examination will have to appear for the test on September 20, 2026.
The examination will be conducted at two venues in Srinagar. These are:
- Govt. Degree College for Women (Srinagar Womens College), Zakura, Srinagar
- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hazratbal, Srinagar
The Accounts Assistant examination will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until 12:40 PM. The total examination duration will be 100 minutes.
Candidates who have applied for the Accounts Assistant post are therefore required to take note of the examination date, venue and reporting requirements mentioned on their respective admit cards.
Subject Matter Specialist Examination
The OMR-based written examination for Subject Matter Specialists (SMS-KVKs) is scheduled for September 27, 2026 (Sunday).
The examination centre listed in the notice is:
Govt. Degree College for Women (Srinagar Womens College), Zakura, Srinagar.
The examination timing for the SMS-KVK post is also from 11:00 AM to 12:40 PM, with a total duration of 100 minutes.
Candidates appearing for the Subject Matter Specialist examination should carefully check their admit cards for the examination-related details.
Admit Cards to Be Available from September 11
SKUAST-K has also announced the date from which candidates can download their admit cards.
According to the notice, the admit cards will be hosted on the university website from September 11, 2026 (Friday), at 11:00 AM onwards.
Candidates who are scheduled to appear in the Accounts Assistant or SMS-KVK examination will therefore be able to access their admit cards from the specified date and time.
The admit card is an important examination document, and candidates should check the details provided on it before appearing for the written test.
Other Recruitment Examinations to Be Notified Separately
The university has clarified that the examination schedule for the other posts covered under the recruitment process will be notified separately.
The current notice specifically provides the examination schedule for Accounts Assistant and Subject Matter Specialists (SMS-KVKs).
Candidates applying for other posts are required to wait for separate notification regarding their respective examination schedule.
