The Government Polytechnic College Ganderbal has issued an Advertisement Notice inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty for the academic session Nov–Dec 2025. The engagement will be on a purely temporary basis across multiple disciplines.
Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria
The college has announced openings in the following subjects:

Remuneration
- The Guest Lecturer shall be paid remuneration of ₹750 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹20,000 per month.
- Remuneration is applicable only for the academic session and shall not exceed the fixed monthly ceiling.
Selection Criteria
The selection will be made purely on merit, and candidates will be shortlisted for an interaction/demo class. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for this process.
The Selection Criteria will be as per norms prescribed by the Directorate of Skill Development, J&K, under Notification No. 37 of 2023 dated 24/01/2023:
- 08 points for basic qualification
- 02 points for higher qualification
- 05 points for Ph.D. (if applicable)
- 05 points for teaching experience (Polytechnic Diploma level) – 01 point per academic year
- 05 points for interaction/demo class
Important Dates
- Last Date for Submission of Application Forms: 25-08-2025 (04:00 PM)
- Submission Mode: Hardcopy of the filled application form, along with self-attested copies of all required documents, must be submitted to the Principal Office, Govt. Polytechnic College Ganderbal.
- Document Verification: Original certificates must be produced at the time of interaction.
- Interview Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in 1:5 ratio.
- Affidavit Requirement: Selected candidates must submit an affidavit attested by a First-Class Magistrate confirming they will not claim continuation beyond the academic session.
