IBPS PO Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive the following basic pay:

₹48,480 – 2,000/7 – 62,480 – 2,340/2 – 67,160 – 2,680/7 – 85,920

Apart from the basic salary, employees are entitled to:

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

Candidate should have been born between:

Age Relaxation

Upper age relaxation is available as per Government rules:

  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years

Nationality

Negative Marking

There will be negative marking in both Preliminary and Main examinations.

  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • No deduction for unanswered questions.

Personality Test

Candidates qualifying the Main Examination will undergo a mandatory Personality Test. Although it is non-qualifying, appearing for it is compulsory before the interview stage.


Interview

Candidates shortlisted after the Main Examination and Personality Test will be invited for an Interview.

  • Total Interview Marks: 100
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • General: 40%
    • SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: 35%

The final merit list is prepared with:

  • Main Examination: 80%
  • Interview: 20%
