J&K Bank to recruit after five-year gap
Assistant, officer recruitment notification likely within days: MD
Srinagar, Sept 22: Jammu and Kashmir Bank is set to restart recruitment of banking assistants and officers after a gap of five years, with the recruitment notification expected to be issued within the next few days.
J&K Bank Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee, addressing the bank’s 88th Annual General Meeting at SKICC Srinagar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the agreement with the agency that will conduct the recruitment examinations has been finalised.
“The negotiations and the signing of the agreement with the agency which will conduct these examinations are over. Our bank will come out with a notification in a few days,” Chatterjee said.
He said the recruitment process will cover Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Regarding recruitment outside Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Chatterjee said the bank may undertake limited hiring based on local language requirements in areas where it operates.
“The bank has a presence in 22 states outside J&K, and we require employees who are proficient in local languages to serve our customers,” he added—(KNO)
