EducationJEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Reopened: NTA Allows Fresh Applications Until March 13

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the re-opening of the online application portal for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2. This special opportunity is being provided to candidates who were unable to complete their application forms or fee payment earlier.

According to the public notice issued on 12 March 2026, candidates can now submit their online applications for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 within the extended window provided by NTA.

This move comes after the agency received multiple requests from students seeking an extension of the application process.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Reopened

The NTA will conduct JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from 02 April to 09 April 2026 (tentatively) across India and in a few cities outside the country.

Earlier, the online application process was open from 01 February to 25 February 2026, and a correction window was also provided from 27 February to 28 February 2026 for candidates to modify certain details.

However, after the closure of the application portal, many candidates approached NTA requesting another opportunity to submit their forms or complete the fee payment. Considering these requests, NTA has decided to reopen the registration portal for a limited period.

New Registration Dates

Candidates who missed the earlier deadline can now apply according to the following schedule:

  • Application Start Date: 12 March 2026 (Afternoon)
  • Last Date to Apply: 13 March 2026 (09:00 PM)
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 13 March 2026 (11:50 PM)

Students are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Important Instructions for Candidates

NTA has issued several important guidelines for candidates applying during this extended period:

  • Ensure that all details entered in the application form are accurate and complete.
  • This is a special extended opportunity, therefore no correction window will be provided after submission.
  • Candidates should carefully review all information before final submission of the form.

Who Should Apply?

This special window is only for candidates who were unable to submit their application form or complete the fee payment earlier.

Candidates who have already successfully applied for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 do not need to register again. Additionally, they will not be allowed to make any changes to their previously submitted application forms.
