The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, indicating generally dry conditions on September 13, with the possibility of a brief spell of rain at isolated places.

The forecast suggests that while most areas are likely to remain dry during the day, some isolated locations may experience a short spell of rainfall. The weather outlook forms part of the latest forecast issued by the MET Centre Srinagar.

Rain and Thundershowers Expected from September 14 to 17

Weather conditions are expected to become more active across Jammu and Kashmir between September 14 and September 17.

According to the forecast, brief spells of rain and thundershowers are likely at scattered to many places during this period. These weather activities are expected particularly during the early morning and afternoon hours.

The forecast indicates that rainfall activity during these four days may not be continuous, with brief spells expected across different areas. However, the possibility of rain and thundershowers at scattered to many places marks a change from the generally dry conditions forecast for September 13.

Residents and those involved in outdoor activities may therefore need to remain mindful of the changing weather conditions during the specified period.

Thunderstorm, Lightning and Gusty Wind Advisory

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has also issued an advisory in connection with the expected weather activity from September 14 to 17.

The advisory states that thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds may occur at a few places during this period.

The warning is specifically associated with the forecast period of September 14 to 17, when brief spells of rain and thundershowers are expected at scattered to many places during the early morning and afternoon hours.

The advisory highlights the possibility of these weather-related conditions at a few places across Jammu and Kashmir during the period.

Weather Outlook from September 18 to 23

Following the period of increased rain and thundershower activity, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from September 18 to September 23.

The forecast, however, indicates that brief spells of rain may still occur at isolated places during this period.

This means that although generally dry weather is expected across Jammu and Kashmir between September 18 and 23, isolated rainfall cannot be ruled out according to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.

Advisory for Farmers

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has also provided guidance concerning agricultural activities in view of the forecast weather conditions.

According to the advisory, farmers may continue harvesting of apple and paddy, along with other farm operations.

The advisory specifically permits the continuation of these agricultural activities while the forecast covers changing weather conditions between September 13 and 23.

Apple and paddy harvesting can therefore continue as indicated in the advisory issued by the MET Centre Srinagar.
