The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has issued the Provisional Selection List for admission to Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses-2026 in various Government and Private Colleges/Institutions across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The selection list has been published after the completion of the second round of online counselling conducted under Notification No. 131-BOPEE of 2026 dated August 3, 2026.
The notification has been released in continuation of Notification No. 124-BOPEE of 2026 dated July 27, 2026, through which JKBOPEE had announced the schedule for the second round of online counselling. Candidates were permitted to submit their online preferences and choices from July 29, 2026 (11:30 AM) to July 31, 2026 (midnight) for the available seats in the Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme.
Provisional Selection List Published
According to JKBOPEE, the list of provisionally allotted candidates has been placed in Annexure-A of the notification and is available on the Board’s official website. The allotments cover admissions to various Government and Private Nursing Colleges located in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh for the 2026 academic session.
Candidates whose names appear in the provisional selection list have been allotted institutions based on the counselling process conducted by the Board. The notification also provides an opportunity for candidates to raise objections, if required, before the final selection list is issued.
Representation Against the Provisional List
JKBOPEE has informed candidates that anyone wishing to challenge the position assigned in the provisional selection list may submit a representation supported by documentary evidence.
Representations must be submitted up to August 4, 2026, by 11:00 AM through the email address helpdeskjakbopee@gmail.com. If the Board receives a genuine representation, it will issue a separate notification containing a revised selection list. In case no further notification is issued, the existing Annexure-A will automatically be treated as the final selection list.
Reporting Schedule for Selected Candidates
Candidates provisionally selected for admission are required to report to their allotted colleges or institutions from August 4, 2026 (1:00 PM onwards) to August 6, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM) for completion of admission formalities.
Before reporting, candidates must download their Provisional Allotment Letter from the JKBOPEE portal using their login credentials. The allotment letter is mandatory for completing the admission process at the allotted institution.
Documents Required During Admission
JKBOPEE has instructed candidates to produce the original documents at the time of admission. These include:
- Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh, as applicable. For candidates belonging to the UT of Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by the competent authority will be treated as the domicile certificate.
- Class 12 qualifying examination certificate.
- GNM marks cards of all semesters or years.
- Registration Certificate issued by the J&K Paramedical Council.
- Valid reserved category certificate, wherever applicable.
- Any additional certificate required by the concerned college in accordance with applicable rules.
Colleges Directed to Verify Documents
The Board has directed all participating colleges and institutions to carefully verify the authenticity of documents submitted by candidates, particularly reserved category certificates where admission is granted under a reserved category.
The notification specifies that the validity of reserved category certificates will be considered up to April 30, 2026, which was the last date prescribed for submission of the online application form for the course.
Admission Counters to Remain Open
To ensure timely completion of admissions before the prescribed deadline, JKBOPEE has instructed all concerned colleges to keep their admission counters operational even on holidays or off days if necessary.
The Board has also advised candidates not to wait until the last day for completing admission formalities, stating that any delay could result in unnecessary inconvenience. All admissions must be completed through the JKBOPEE online admission portal within the stipulated period.
Important Instructions for Candidates
JKBOPEE has clarified that admissions granted under the notification are purely provisional. If any information furnished by a candidate is found to be false or fabricated, the admission will be cancelled and action may be taken under the applicable rules.
Candidates who fail to join their allotted institution by August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM will lose their claim to the allotted seat. Similarly, candidates wishing to cancel their admission must do so on or before the same deadline through the prescribed procedure. No fee will be charged by institutions for cancellation of a seat during any counselling round.
The Board has further stated that candidates allotted a seat during the second round who either join, fail to join, or subsequently cancel their admission will not be permitted to opt for the same course and institution during the third round of counselling. However, they may be eligible to choose other courses or institutions, subject to the availability of seats.
Admissions Through Online Portal Only
JKBOPEE has reiterated that all admissions must be processed exclusively through the JKBOPEE online admission portal. Admissions made through any offline mode will not be accepted.
The notification also states that all other conditions governing admission shall remain the same as those already notified in the e-Information Brochure and previous notifications issued by the Board regarding Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses-2026.
