The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education) has issued an Extension Notification regarding the submission schedule for Inter-School Migration applications for the Academic Session 2026 (October–November) for Kashmir Division, including District Kargil (UT of Ladakh).
Key Update
JKBOSE has extended the last date for submission of online applications for students seeking inter-school migration between recognized institutions. This applies to Class 10th and 12th on-roll eligible students under the Annual Regular Session 2025–26.
Students can apply for migration:
- Within the same district
- Between districts
- Across divisions (Division-to-Division)

According to the official notification:
- Opening of Online Link: 29 June 2026
- Closing of Online Link: 08 July 2026

Fee Details
The board has also clarified the applicable fee structure:
- Basic Fee: ₹835
- Token Fine: ₹500
- Total Fee: ₹1335
Purpose of Migration Facility
The Inter-School Migration facility allows students of Classes 10th and 12th to shift from one recognized institution to another for valid academic or personal reasons. This includes:
- Change of school within district
- Inter-district transfer
- Division-level migration (Kashmir Division and Kargil region)
Important Instructions
- Only eligible on-roll students can apply
- Applications must be submitted online only
- The schedule is applicable for the 2025–26 academic session (Annual Regular)
- Other terms and conditions remain the same as per earlier notification dated 27-03-2026
