JKBOSE Notification 2025: Correction in Registration Return of Class 9th Students for Class 10th Examination 2026
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification regarding corrections in the Registration Return (RR) of Class 9th students (session 2024-25) who are scheduled to appear in the Class 10th Annual Regular Examination 2026.
Key Details of the Notification
- Correction Period: August 21, 2025, to September 04, 2025.
- Correction Fee: ₹500 per candidate.
- Mode of Submission: Offline mode only, as per the attached Annexure-A.
- Required Documents:
- Original Class 8th Marks Card
- Checklist mentioning RR Number(s)
- Other relevant supporting documents
The notification clearly states that all affiliated Government/Private High and Higher Secondary institutions falling under the Jammu Division (including Leh) must ensure timely submission of correction cases.
Procedure for Submission
- Schools must collect correction cases along with the required documents.
- The complete set should be submitted to the Divisional Office and the concerned Sub/Branch Office of JKBOSE through offline mode.
- The Assistant Secretaries / In-charge Officers of Sub/Branch Offices will consolidate and verify the cases based on Class 8th marks cards.
- Verified cases will then be forwarded to the RR Section, JD, strictly as per Annexure-A.
Responsibility of School Heads
The notification emphasizes that Principals and Heads of institutions are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of correction cases. Schools have been directed to guide students and parents accordingly to avoid future discrepancies in Class 10th examination records.
