JKSSB MTS Qualification Criteria Sparks Concern Among Graduate Youth in J&K
A group of JKSSB aspirants has urged the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and the J&K Government to review and clarify the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment.
In a representation submitted to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the aspirants said the qualification criteria have caused concern among educated unemployed youth, particularly graduates and postgraduates who have been preparing for government recruitment examinations for several years.
The aspirants have questioned the rationale and policy basis for restricting eligibility to a specified lower educational qualification and said candidates possessing higher qualifications should not automatically be excluded from consideration merely because they have studied beyond the prescribed minimum qualification.
They appealed to KNS to highlight the issue, speak to affected aspirants, and seek clarification from JKSSB and the concerned government department regarding the eligibility criteria.
The aspirants said they are not seeking to deprive anyone of an employment opportunity, but want a fair and transparent examination of the eligibility conditions and an opportunity for eligible educated youth to participate in the recruitment process.
They have also urged the competent authorities to address their concerns and provide clarity on the matter in the larger public interest. (KNS)
