The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notice regarding the issuance of admit cards for candidates shortlisted for the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for several posts under the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment. The notice concerns candidates who applied for the posts of Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant and Social Forestry Worker under Notification No. 03 of 2021 and Notification No. 04 of 2022.
According to the JKSSB notice, the written examination for these posts was conducted through an OMR-based examination process. The examination covered the posts of Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant and Social Forestry Worker in the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment.
The relevant recruitment items include Item Nos. 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 185, 186, 189, 190, 592, 593, 594, 605 and 606. The result or score sheet for the examination was notified through Notice No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM (VT)/14/2026-03 (7842028), dated April 28, 2026 and June 11, 2026, respectively.
Candidates Shortlisted for Physical Tests
JKSSB had earlier issued Notice No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(VT)/14/2026-03 (7842028), dated July 29, 2026, under which candidates for various posts in the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment were shortlisted on the basis of merit for participation in the PST and PET.
The Board has now scheduled the Physical Standards Test and Physical Endurance Test for the shortlisted candidates. The tests will be held in Srinagar from September 7 to September 8, 2026, while the Jammu schedule has been fixed from September 11 to September 13, 2026.
Candidates appearing for the physical tests are required to report at their respective centres according to the date, time and venue mentioned for them. The Board has advised candidates to carefully follow the instructions provided with their admit cards.
JKSSB Admit Cards From September 2
The JKSSB notice states that candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the Board’s official website, www.jkssb.nic.in, with effect from September 2, 2026. Candidates are required to use their credentials to access the admit card and have been advised to read all instructions contained in it carefully.
The Board has also outlined a step-by-step procedure for downloading the JKSSB E-Admit Card. Candidates first need to visit the official JKSSB website and locate the link for downloading the E-Admit Card. They then have to enter their login credentials, including their email ID and date of birth.
According to the notice, the username will be the candidate’s email ID, while the password will be the date of birth in DDMMYYY format. After entering the required credentials, candidates have to select the “View and Print E-Admit Card” option, download the admit card and take a printout.
A clear printed copy of the E-Admit Card must be brought by the candidate on the day of the examination. The Board has advised candidates to take the printout well in advance so that they can avoid any last-minute difficulties.
What Candidates Should Do if Admit Card Cannot Be Downloaded
JKSSB has also specified a procedure for candidates who are unable to download their admit cards. Such candidates may represent before the Board two days before their examination date. They must carry valid proof showing that they had filled out the online application form and paid the online fee. The notice states that failure to do so will result in the presumption that the candidate is not interested in appearing in the examination, and no claim will be entertained.
Candidates have been instructed to report to their respective centres for the PST and PET on the scheduled date, time and venue. The Board has further clarified that only candidates who meet the prescribed physical standards in the PST will be required or eligible to take the PET. Downloading or being issued an admit card for the PST by itself does not confer eligibility to appear in the PET.
Physical Fitness Certificate Mandatory for PET
Candidates who qualify the prescribed physical standards and proceed to the PET must submit a Physical Fitness Certificate before the endurance test begins. The certificate must be issued by the concerned Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
JKSSB has made it clear that candidates will not be permitted to participate in the PET without submitting the required Physical Fitness Certificate.
The Board has also provided instructions regarding items candidates may carry during the PET. Participants may carry water bottles, juices, electrolyte drinks or ORS, light snacks and other necessary eatables for personal consumption. These items are to be kept in a backpack or bag and will remain subject to security and venue regulations.
Mobile Phones Not Allowed at PET Venue
Candidates have been informed that mobile phones and other electronic devices will not be permitted at the PET venue. They have also been advised to arrive adequately prepared for the physical tests and make suitable arrangements for hydration and personal requirements, keeping in consideration the nature and duration of the PET.
The JKSSB has advised candidates to remain updated through its official website for the latest information concerning the examinations. Admit cards will not be dispatched through post.
Candidates Required to Submit Signed Admit Cards
On the day of the PST or PET, candidates will also have to submit their admit cards back to the invigilation staff. The notice specifies that the admit cards must be duly signed by both the candidate and the concerned invigilator.
JKSSB has further stated that candidature may be cancelled and disciplinary action may be taken, as deemed appropriate, in cases involving misrepresentation or concealment of material facts, impersonation or fraud. The Board has also reserved the right to cancel a candidate’s candidature at any stage if the candidate is found to be ineligible.
