NHPC Limited, a premier “Navratna” Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released a mega notification inviting online applications for Apprenticeship Training 2025. A total of 361 apprenticeship positions are available for Graduates, Diploma Holders, and ITI Pass-outs in various disciplines and trades across NHPC’s multiple project locations and corporate offices. Apprentices will be placed across NHPC’s Corporate Office in Faridabad and regional project units including in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Educational Qualification & Monthly Stipend

Additionally, a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by the Govt. of India will be provided:
- ₹4,500/- for Graduate Apprentices
- ₹4,000/- for Diploma Apprentices
Note: Applicants must have an active Aadhaar-linked DBT-enabled bank account.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per govt. norms)
- Candidate must not have undergone previous apprenticeship of one year or more.
- Must be medically fit and produce relevant fitness certificate.
Selection Process
No interview will be conducted. Selection is purely on merit basis, calculated as:
Graduate Apprentices:
- 10th: 20%
- 12th/Diploma: 20%
- Graduation/PG: 60%
Diploma Apprentices:
- 10th: 30%
- Diploma: 70%
ITI Apprentices:
- 10th: 30%
- ITI Marks: 70%
Preference Criteria
- First preference to candidates from Project Affected Families.
- Second preference to candidates from the respective district.
- Third preference to candidates from the State/UT.
- Remaining posts will be open for candidates from other States/UTs.
Training Period & Benefits
- Duration: 1 year (Extendable up to 2 years under special circumstances)
- Shared bachelor accommodation may be provided or additional ₹2,500/- if not provided
- Entitled to medical leave, casual leave, and extraordinary leave
- Work timings will follow NHPC norms; no extra pay for working holidays or overtime
- Apprenticeship does not guarantee future employment in NHPC
