The Directorate of Social Welfare Kashmir has invited online applications for the PM-YASASVI (PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India) Post-Matric Scholarship for the academic session 2026-27. The centrally sponsored scholarship scheme is meant for eligible students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Backward Classes (EBCs), and De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs) studying in recognized institutions.

Eligible students are advised to submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) within the prescribed timeline.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Belong to the OBC, EBC, or DNT category as notified by the Central/State Government.
  • Have an annual family income not exceeding ₹2.50 lakh from all sources.
  • Have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or Higher Secondary (Class 12) or any higher examination.
  • Be pursuing a recognized post-matric course, including:
    • Class XI & XII
    • Diploma
    • Undergraduate courses
    • Postgraduate courses
    • Professional courses

How to Apply

Eligible students should:

  1. Apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Important Instructions

  • The scholarship is available to Indian nationals who are residents of Jammu & Kashmir and are pursuing approved courses in recognized institutions.
  • Students already receiving benefits under any other State or Central Government scholarship scheme are not eligible under this scheme.
  • Applicants should carefully read the eligibility conditions before submitting the application.
