Rain, Thunderstorms Likely Across J&K From Oct 6; Snow Possible Over Higher Reaches: MET

Advises safe storage of apple and paddy as wet weather forecast at scattered to many places

Srinagar, Oct 5: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunderstorms and gusty winds at scattered to many places from October 6 to 10.

Director MET Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad as per news agency JKNS said, the weather is expected to remain generally dry on October 5.

He said partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain, light snow over higher reaches, thunderstorms and gusty winds is expected at scattered to many places during October 6-10.

For October 11-15, the Director MET said partly cloudy weather is expected across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Meteorological Department has advised people, particularly farmers and fruit growers, to ensure safe storage of apple and paddy during October 6-10 in view of the expected weather conditions. (JKNS)
