University of Kashmir Admission Notification 2025: 2-Year B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Programme Announced

The Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir, has released Admission Notification No. 01 of 2025 for the 2-Year B.Ed. Programme (Distance Mode) for the academic session 2025–2026 (Batch-2025).

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the B.Ed. Programme offered through the Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE), formerly known as the Directorate of Distance Education. Candidates are advised to read the Admission Policy and other relevant details available on the CDOE website before submitting their application forms.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) with at least:
    • 50% marks for General Category
    • 45% marks for Reserved Category
      OR
    • Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities
      OR
    • Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks
    • Any equivalent qualification from the University of Kashmir or any recognized University.
  • Trained in-service teachers working full-time in Government or Government-recognized private (Elementary/School Education) institutions with a minimum of six months of experience are also eligible. (Experience certificate must be issued by the concerned Head of the Institution)
    OR
  • Candidates with NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Programme (D.El.Ed) completed in face-to-face mode are eligible.

  • Issuance of Online Forms: 09-08-2025
  • Last Date for Submission of Online Forms & Fee: 21-08-2025

Mode of Selection:

The selection of candidates will be based on the academic merit of their qualifying examinations. If the number of applications exceeds the intake capacity in a 1:3 ratio, an entrance test will be conducted by the Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations.

Territorial Jurisdiction:

This admission is specifically for candidates from the Kashmir Division, including Kashmiri Migrants. However, the OSJ (Outside State Jurisdiction) category is open to all candidates residing outside the Kashmir Division.
