UPSC Recruitment 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released recruitment notification with 450 posts for Drug Inspector, Assistant Engineer & Legal Officer.
The application window for the recruitment is open till July 17, interested and eligible candidates must apply before the deadline.
This recruitment drive is one of the biggest for this year with opportunities given to engineering, law, pharmacy, medicine, science and administration fields.
It is not examination recruitment but selection type recruitment. It is to be noted that for most of the posts there will be no common examination.
The candidates will be selected for the post through an Interview, or a Recruitment Test followed by an Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational qualification is different for different posts.
- Engineering posts: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline
- Legal posts: LLB
- Scientific and administrative posts: Master’s degree
- Medical posts: MBBS with a relevant postgraduate degree.
- Drug Inspector post: Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Microbiology/Chemistry (as prescribed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules) is required
- The qualification must be from a recognised university.
Age limit:
- There is no formal age limit, it differs from posts to posts.
- Upper age limit: 30 and 55/56 for unreserved categories
- To know the age limit interested candidates must read the post wise notification.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
- Age relaxation for OBC: 3 years
- Age relaxation for PwBD: 10-15 years
Application fee:
- General/OBC/EWS male: Rs 25
- SC, ST and PwBD female: no fees
- Payment mode: Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
