The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar has officially released the revised final answer key along with the overall merit list for the written examination conducted on March 11, 2026, for the engagement of Tutor/Clinical Instructor positions in Public Health.
As per the official notification issued on March 18, 2026, the revised answer key was prepared after reviewing objections raised by candidates. Initially, the provisional answer key had been released earlier, allowing candidates to submit representations within a stipulated timeframe. The authorities received objections for three questions, out of which necessary corrections were made based on expert recommendations.
Changes in Answer Key
Following expert review, modifications were made to specific questions:
- Question 06: Answer revised from C to B
- Question 49: Answer revised from C to A
- Question 60: No change (remains B)
The final answer key has now been declared binding, and no further claims or objections will be entertained.
Selection and Merit List
Based on the final evaluation, the overall merit list has been published as Annexure “A” to the notification. According to the list (pages 3–4), Ms. Bilkeesa Majeed secured the top position with 52 marks, followed by Mr. Lala Aftab Ali Mir with 49 marks and Ms. Ishrat Amin with 48 marks.
Ms. Bilkeesa Majeed from Kupwara has been provisionally selected for the post of Tutor/Clinical Instructor under the Open Merit category.
Vacancy Update
The notification also states that one post reserved for the ST-1 category could not be filled due to the non-availability of eligible candidates.
Instructions for Selected Candidates
Selected candidates have been directed to report to the office of the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, GMC Srinagar within seven days of the notification. They are required to submit:
- Application form (coloured)
- Xerox copies of uploaded certificates
- Original documents for physical verification
Failure to complete the verification process within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of selection.

The notification has been duly signed by the Principal/Dean of Government Medical College Srinagar, confirming the completion of the recruitment process in accordance with established guidelines.
