ICAR-CITH Recruitment 2025: Walk-In Interview for Senior Research Fellow Post in Srinagar
The ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (ICAR-CITH), Srinagar, has invited eligible candidates for a Walk-In Interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF). The interview is scheduled to be held on 6th August 2025 at 11:00 AM at the institute’s campus located at K.D. Farm, Old Air Field, Rangreth, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
Vacancy Details:
- Post Name: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Number of Posts: 01 (One)
- Project Title: Development of an AI-controlled electronic nose sensor for assessing apple aroma profiles during harvest and storage: An easy-to-use non-destructive technology for assessing apple freshness and quality.
Emoluments:
- Salary: ₹42,000/- + 18% HRA (As per ICAR guidelines)
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or Horticulture with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree must have qualified NET and have 2 years of research experience as per ICAR norms.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in plant genomics, plant metabolomics, and plant transcriptomics.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on:
- Essential Qualification: 50 marks
- Ph.D.: 5 marks
- Experience: 10 marks (2 marks per year)
- NAAS Rated Publications: 10 marks
- Awards: 5 marks
- NET: 5 marks
- Personal Interview: 20 marks
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025):
- Men: Maximum 35 years
- Women: Maximum 40 years
(Age relaxation will be provided as per GoI/ICAR norms.)
Important Instructions:
- The position is purely temporary and contractual for one year and may be extended based on performance and fund availability.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointment at ICAR-CITH.
- The candidate must bring original documents, self-attested copies, and passport-sized photographs during the interview.
- A two-month prior notice is required before resignation from the position.
