NEET MDS 2025 Cut-Offs Lowered – Revised Percentiles and Scores for All Categories
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a major update for candidates of NEET MDS 2025. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has directed a significant reduction in qualifying percentiles for all categories, bringing relief to thousands of aspirants seeking admission to MDS courses for the academic year 2025-26.
Key Highlights
- Results Unchanged: The NEET MDS 2025 results, declared on May 15, 2025, remain the same in terms of candidate ranks. Only the qualifying cut-offs have been revised.
- Cut-Off Reduction: On August 10, 2025, the MoHFW ordered a reduction of 19.863 percentile points across all categories – General, SC, ST, OBC, and UR-PwBD.
- Reason for Change: The revision aligns with the Dental Council of India’s MDS Regulations, 2017 and the DCI Master of Dental Surgery Course (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2018.

- All India 50% quota MDS seats
- State quota seats
- MDS courses in private, deemed, and Armed Forces dental institutions
- Screening test for BDS & MDS applicants to the Army Dental Corps
Note: AIIMS New Delhi does not participate in NEET MDS centralised admissions.
