Parents Urge Education Minister to Avoid Two-Day School Closure, Cite Academic Losses in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sept 20th (CNS): Parents across the Kashmir Valley have urged the Education Minister to reconsider the proposed two-day closure of schools, expressing concern over the loss of academic time due to government holidays, official programmes, rallies and other activities.
Parents said many students are already finding it difficult to complete their prescribed syllabus and that another two-day closure could place additional pressure on their academic progress.
They also appealed to the government to exempt students from participating in rallies, government programmes and other activities that disrupt regular classroom teaching.
The parents urged the Education Department to prioritize classroom instruction and ensure that students receive sufficient teaching time to complete the syllabus.
“The academic future of our children must remain a priority. The government should avoid unnecessary disruption to school education and safeguard the interests of students,” the parents said. (CNS)
